Community Mobilization

What We Do:

Organize nonviolent rallies, demonstrations, and public gatherings; work to ensure every event is well-organized, safe, and effective. This team coordinates closely with our communications team to get the word out about events, partner events and important actions.

Accomplishments

  • Organized 7 rallies: Hands Off, No Kings 1, No Kings 2, No Kings 3, May Day, John Lewis Good Trouble, and Labor Day Workers Over Billionaires

  • Trained 40 members in One Million Rising program to raise awareness on authoritarianism and strategies for civil noncooperation

  • Held a film screening of The Last Class to a sold-out audience

  • Organized social events to attract new members

Looking Ahead

  • Prepare for No Kings #4 Vote-a-palooza in October

  • Identify community events and presentations on relevant topics

  • Plan additional trainings in One Million Rising program
