Accomplishments
Collected agency policies and monitored compliance with SB 25-276, summarizing required protections in clear, accessible language
Advocated for immigrant protections through testimony at school board, county commissioner, and hospital board meetings, and in response to local ICE activity
Coordinated with the statewide Immigrant Partnership Team on priority legislation and statewide and federal advocacy actions
Organized a Zoom webinar for businesses that employ immigrants, featuring presentations by the American Business Immigration Coalition and an immigration attorney
Built communication infrastructure by launching the Chaffee Immigrant Partnership Team Facebook page and providing regular internal updates on state and federal developments, with suggested advocacy actions and sample messaging
Looking Ahead
Integrate agency policy summaries, advocacy resources, and community information into the forthcoming website
Continue monitoring public agency compliance with SB 25-276
Maintain coordination with the statewide Immigrant Partnership Team on legislative and advocacy priorities
Convene local organizations working in the immigration space to advance a collaborative initiative
